My Philosophy: Stronger, Healthier, Better
Whether you are recovering from an acute injury, suffering from chronic pain or just want to improve your fitness, my philosophy and my practice to achieve patient goals remains the same. Build your strength, become healthier and build on the recovery so that you are better than before. My philosophy can be summed up as stronger, healthier, better and below are the values that help me deliver on that.
1. A mix of therapies works most effectively
Since becoming an RMT in 2000, I have endeavoured to learn as many techniques and treatments as possible in order to provide a unique combination approach to my clients. I combine Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Reflexology, Qi Gong and personal training in my practice, all in an effort to provide optimum health to my clients. I continually add to the therapies and techniques in order to provide even more diverse and effective treatments.
2. The patient is an active participant in the healing journey
I believe that you, as the patient, need to be an active participant in the healing journey. To this end, I provide a homecare plan and work with you on such things as posture, exercises, breath work and other skills to help you help yourself between appointments. This active participation from the patient can significantly shorten the recovery time.
3. A wholistic approach–mind, body and spirit–creates optimum results
As a therapist, I have seen the great power that the mind can have on the body. In my opinion, optimum health can be achieved only when the mind and body are in synchrony. In all treatments, I take a wholistic (mind, body, spirit) approach to what is going on for you, and what you need to become pain-free, better and stronger.
4. Optimum health is always the goal
Optimum health is always my goal for my clients. My job is to help you achieve your optimum health (whatever that looks like for you) – to get you better by helping you get stronger and healthier in the process.
THE RESULT:
The result is clients who are stronger, healthier and better, and have the tools to ensure their issues don’t reappear or are significantly reduced.
